Motomic’s new, lightweight μButterfly microbrowser brings browsing to embedded devices as small as ARM Cortex-M4. Browse, parse and render content across a network. It renders HTML and Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) pages and extends HTML/CSS with active graphics, transparent media overlays and other features.
The μButterfly microbrowser enables developers to render HTML/CSS on systems that can’t support WebKit. It was designed specifically to support Cortex-M4 and other small, embedded devices. It greatly reduces the RAM and processor requirements placed on embedded devices and real-time operating systems (RTOS) accurately rendering HTML/CSS pages. RTOSs can now accurately render the HTML/CSS content previously reserved for higher-end processors.
Benefits include:
* Maintain your content on a central database
--instead of synchronizing distributed databases.
* Lightning fast performance on embedded processors.
* Extensible.
* Runs on ARM Cortex-M4.
Plus… all the features of the Motomic HTML/CSS for Embedded(tm) rendering engine, including:
* Very fast Web browsing of HTML 4/CSS 2.1 web pages.
* Extensible HTML/CSS parser.
* Dynamic HTML.
Plus active graphics, low power consumption and reduced bandwidth requirements.
An SDK version that may be directly embedded in a customer application is available as a separate product. Contact Motomic for the latest list of supported hardware architectures and information on other products.
