The ARM® Mali™-T760 GPU boosts the Midgard architecture into a new era of energy efficiency. Enhancements to the silicon-proven Midgard architecture ensure that the ARM Mali-T760 is the GPU of choice for all market-leading smartphones, tablets and DTVs. With full support for current and next generation graphics and compute APIs, it boasts stunning graphics and guarantees the excellent execution of compute-intensive tasks such as computational photography, gesture recognition and image stabilization.
 


With 400% the energy efficiency of the ARM Mali-T604 GPU, the ARM Mali-T760 GPU promises to deliver stunning graphics quality without compromising on power consumption. An advanced, coherent L2 Cache Interconnect ensures that the ARM Mali-T760 GPU can scale effectively to its full 16 cores, maximizing its performance potential and simplifying the GPU’s physical implementation effort. Compatibility with additional power-saving technologies reduces overall System on Chip (SoC) power. For example, ARM Frame Buffer Compression (AFBC) reduces the overall system level bandwidth and power cost of transferring spatially coordinated image data throughout the system by up to 50%. Smart Composition can also reduce texture read bandwidth and SoC power by up to 50% .

The ARM Mali-T760 GPU offers full support for current and next generation APIs, enabling advanced 3D graphics acceleration. It is Khronos compliant* for OpenGL® ES 3.1/3.0/2.0/1.1 and Microsoft Windows compliant for Direct3D® 11.1.

The ARM Mali-T760 GPU is supported by the proven software development assets of the Mali GPU DDK, which is provided under the standard ARM commercial licence to all Mali GPU customers. In addition, ARM POP™ IP for the Mali-T760 will be made available to further decrease time to market and improve the dependability of your product. ARM POP IP is core-hardening acceleration technology for producing the best ARM processor implementations in the fastest time to market with the flexibility to optimize for maximum performance, lowest power, or any combination in between.

Adaptive Scalable Texture Compression

 ARM Frame Buffer Compression (AFBC) 4x4 pixel block size  AFBC is a lossless image compression format that provides random access to pixel data to a 4x4 pixel block granularity. It is employed to reduce memory bandwidth both internally within the GPU and externally throughout the SoC
Transaction Elimination 16x16 pixel block size Transaction Elimination spots the identical pixel blocks between two consecutive render targets and performs a partial update to the frame buffer with the changed pixel blocks only, which reduces memory bandwidth and thus energy
