This download provides patch version 1.6.2 of the RealView ICE (RVI) unit firmware and is an upgrade to the v1.6 firmware. N.B. In order to install this patch, you will first need to obtain and install v1.6 of RealView-ICE firmware. v1.6 is a special release of firmware which includes support for Freescale's MXC series of silicon. Installation Instructions To upgrade the RVI firmware you have to use the RVI Update utility supplied with the RealView ICE software v1.6. The RealView ICE user guide covers the use of this utility. Details can be found in chapter 7.1 - 'Installing an update or patch'. New Features RVI firmware v1.6.2 patch with MXC support provides the following: - Autodetection of Zeus rev 2.2
- Autodetection of SCMA9 based CPUs (MXC91221)
- Autodetection of LVA9 based CPUs (untested)
- Fixed - When issuing a synch go command to the ARM926, execution was re-started with the DCR.INTDIS and DCR.DBGACK bits left active. This lead to execution status mis-matches.
- Fixed - The 1st connection to RVI could have the incorrect execution state polling period set. This would slow down the response to execution status changes on the target.
N.B. It is recommended that RVI firmware v1.6.2 patch is only used with RealView Developer Suite (RVDS) v2.2 SP1 or later. To upgrade to the latest version of RVDS, please contact your supplier.
