Technologies Used

Driving Performance Gains with the Arm Compute Platform

Aston Martin Aramco leverages Arm’s high-performing, efficient, and scalable standardized chip technologies for real-time processing at the edge. The result is improved real-time decision-making capabilities that deliver gains in the pits and on the track. Technologies leveraged include:

Engineering pace Through Data and AI

The Arm Automotive team works alongside the F1® team to push performance further, collaborating on workload analysis, AI offloading, computer vision, and sensor fusion, among other things. Together, we optimize speed on the track, in the pit, and in every critical decision.

Collaboration Away from the Track

The Aston Martin Aramco F1® Team operates under a strict cost cap, making every decision crucial. Arm collaborates with the team to create scalable platforms that can be deployed on the track sooner than ever, and that can be reused in different areas of the car. This helps reduce development time and avoid development dead-ends. Additionally, the Arm AI platform helps streamline the vast amounts of data generated in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), the wind tunnel, simulator, and the race itself, allowing the team to arrive at the track with a car configuration that’s ready to race.
